Buck At Rest

Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta, Canada

Mid October, Waterton Townsite was already mostly boarded up, with very few people in the park, so we had the place practically all to ourselves. This is the best time of year: without throngs of tourists, and businesses closed, deer are roaming the streets of the townsite. We found this buck ruminating near the lakeshore of Upper Waterton Lake.
