Everyone is always quoting, so here ar a couple of my own:

THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX is a platitude most often mouthed by those least capable of it. What is worse, they don't seem to realize their box is sitting right in the middle of the trash bin!

I never made notes. I have great pride in my razor-sharp memory. Particularly when quoting people that agree with me!

I've been asked many times whether I take drugs. Quoting Dali's: "I am the drug" is a tired old chestnut everyone seems to quote. For me, it's more like: "This is the way I perceive the world. In order to see it the way you do, I would have to take drugs!"

A friend and colleague who has done much to further the cause of Fantastic Realism is Philip Rubinov!

Rudolf Hausner was a great inspiration to me.
Having met him in the early eighties had much influence on the development of my work.

THE VIENNA SCHOOL OF FANTASTIC REALISM:
A "SIXTH" MEMBER OF THE GROUP?

While conducting further research for my essay THE VIENNA SCHOOL OF FANTASTIC REALISM I was fortunate to discover additional resources: Kurt Regschek was originally closely associated with the group in Vienna, but left in 1965 to pursue his own way, just before internationally important exhibitions of the other 5 members took place. Kurt Regschek could be considered the Sixth Member of the Group. I've known and treasured the few works that I had seen up to now for many years, but was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of images and detailed information found through the links below.

A very personable and humble man, while being interviewed for his biography, he said:
"I know, a biography must be - however I don't like it when artists make themselves the work of art".
