On "Sabbatical" from my Computer

Note to all my deviant friends

Since my humble etching "Ultima Obscenitas Actaeonis" was a
Daily Deviation on 2008-05-09

I received well over 4000 views in the days after, with many faves, watches and comments. I tried as diligently as I could to answer everyone, but fell hopelessly behind. There are still nearly 500 messages in my Miscellaneous Folder, and over 500 images in my Watch Folder to be looked at!
On top of it all, I am taking a 6 week Sabbatical from my Computer!!!!
I can just imagine what my Inbox will look like once I get back.
PLEASE ACCEPT THIS NOTE AS MY HEARTFELT THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!!!!
I will try (but the odds are against me) to catch up, once I get back in July.

THE VIENNA SCHOOL OF FANTASTIC REALISM:
A "SIXTH" MEMBER OF THE GROUP?


While conducting further research for my essay THE VIENNA SCHOOL OF FANTASTIC REALISM I was fortunate to discover additional resources: Kurt Regschek was originally closely associated with the group in Vienna, but left in 1965 to pursue his own way, just before internationally important exhibitions of the other 5 members took place. Kurt Regschek could be considered the Sixth Member of the Group. I've known and treasured the few works that I had seen up to now for many years, but was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of images and detailed information found through the links below.


A very personable and humble man, while being interviewed for his biography, he said:
"I know, a biography must be - however I don't like it when artists make themselves the work of art".

UPDATE on this item April 25th:
I noticed some discussions going on about this, and I might want to add: there are way too many stupid artists out there who would stoop to such a thing, perhaps out of lazyness, since producing (sensationalist) conceptual art is quick and easy. We should be outraged. Consult with psychologists and psychiatrists: cruelty to animals and lack of emphathy towards their suffering is a very disturbing sign of a serious personality disorder. Who knows what this guy is capable of doing next!!!!
